Looking through all the Facebook posts this Christmas season, I have enjoyed seeing families, schools, friends, and communities come together for the good. The picture of the little boy seeing Santa at the Christmas parade and the wonder and joy on his face made me smile. The pictures of the school Christmas programs, and seeing the smiles on the children’s faces because they were enjoying singing for their parents and friends make me smile.
The community coming together to provide toys and food for so many people in need, makes me smile. Seeing friends around tables having conversation without phones and enjoying each other’s company, makes me smile.
Last Thursday Team Booker baked holiday treats for three lucky winners. We were the winners, though, as we had fun together and enjoyed each other’s company. We laughed and took time to be. (Oh, by the way, Dena Corley, Brenda Eden and Carin Grady were the winners of the three trays!)
What a wonderful time of year to pause and enjoy life’s moments, and to take time to be with family and friends. My prayer for all of you this Christmas is to enjoy the time with all you encounter and remember that the reason for this season is the birth of our Savior, Jesus.
