When you talk to me on the phone or in person, the first thing you’ll probably think is “she’s not from around here.” That’s true! I was born in Texas and I still have that southern accent. I still have strong ties there with many family members still roaming the Lone Star State – Go Longhorns! After living in Decatur in the early 70’s, I moved to Columbia, MO and graduated from Stephens College with a degree in Sociology in 1978. I spent some time in the Dallas area working in equipment sales and then finally found my way back to Decatur in 1990. I have a beautiful daughter named Dixie and a very challenged dog named Charlie. Haha! I am proud to call Decatur my home as it is a great town to raise a family, it offers beautiful parks and golf courses along with a prospering zoo and fantastic children’s museum. There truly is so much to do and enjoy here in Decatur and Central Illinois.
