Cranberry Relish and Cheeseball Recipes

Sherry Plain, Jessica Wilson, Lynn Merritt, and Dina Durbin with Brinkoetter and Associates, Realtors would like to share two of their family Thanksgiving recipes with us - Cranberry Relish and a Cheeseball!

Both of these recipes are very easy and don't take up a whole lot of your time - which is great for Thanksgiving Day when you have several dishes to cook!

 

Cranberry Relish

Ingredients:

-1 bag of cranberries

-1/2 cup of sugar

-1 orange

-1 apple

-Pecans (optional)

 

Step 1. Pour the bag of cranberries into the food processor.

Step 2. Add 1/2 cup sugar.

Step 3. Cut the orange into fourths (Do not peel the orange before cutting). Place into the food processor.

Step 4. Cut the apple into fourths. Cut out the seeds/core. Place into the food processor.

Step 5. Use the "pulse" setting on the food processor to mix everything together.

Step 6. (Optional) Add pecans to the finished product.

 

Let product chill and then serve in a dish by itself or with crackers, pretzels, meats, whatever your preference is. Enjoy!

 

A Basic Cheeseball

Ingredients:

-2 packages of cream cheese (room temp.)

-3 green onions

-2 packages of Budding ham, beef, or other desired meat

-2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce

-Sea salt or Garlic salt

-Pretzels or crackers

 

Step 1. Add cream cheese to mixing bowl.

Step 2. Chop up green onions and place in mixing bowl.

Step 3. Chop up Budding ham and place in mixing bowl.

Step 4. Stir contents together until mixed thoroughly.

Step 5. Add worcestershire sauce.

Step 6. Add sea salt or garlic salt.

Step 7. Stir contents again until mixed thoroughly.

Step 8. Place onto piece of saran wrap and wrap up into a ball.

When ready to serve, unwrap and serve on a plate with pretzels or crackers. Enjoy!
