I am very comfortable to call Decatur home. Our family moved here over five years ago to facilitate my wife Aissa’s position as Principal of the Pershing Early Learning Center.
Having previously worked in commercial real estate in Danville, it was a natural for me to go to work here at Brinkoetter and Associates Realtors in Decatur. While in Danville I worked in many different industries to prepare myself to serve today’s real estate clients. After graduating from SIU Carbondale, I returned to Danville to start a construction business that I operated for nearly two decades. Additionally, I worked to improve my expertise and abilities as a custom cabinet maker, a commercial hot air balloon pilot, a balloon manufacturer’s representative and as a Realtor involved in commercial real estate sales and leasing. During the five years prior to moving to Decatur I was tapped to manage a not-for-profit neighborhood redevelopment initiative. As the executive director for Renaissance Initiative, Inc., I facilitated the purchase, restoration, marketing, and sales of the District’s historic homes. I also managed the District’s neighborhood association and handled all the promotion and marketing for the Renaissance District.
My extra curricular activities now include: cabinet making, hot air ballooning, serving as a commissioner on the City’s Historic and Architectural Sites Commission, and striving to be a good dad to my MacArthur freshman, Carly and a good husband to my wonderful wife Aissa.
